Slide and match your way to victory!  Fill up the power meters to drop rainbow gems, and match those to damage your opponent!  And she'll show you more as you get closer to victory, never fear...

About the Game

This game is an experiment to see just how much I could leverage AI in order to actually get a project to completion.  And while I had to tweak things from time to time, the answer was "quite a bit".   All in all this took me a few weeks to put together, and I wasn't constantly working on it, so...

  • Code - Deepseek
  • Graphics - Stable Diffusion (and some free license graphics)
  • Music - Suno
  • Sounds - Free license sound effects

Features

  • Match-3 gameplay with uncommon control scheme
    • Slide column/row, not a swap
    • Real-time action, keep sliding!
  • Gamepad support
  • CG Gallery (beat girls to unlock their spritesheet and extra scenes)
  • Streamer Mode - Not in it for the nudes?  Turn this on.  :)

Patch Notes

Release

  • Added swipe support for Steam Deck
  • Added pause on input for victory
  • Added Victory Screen after the final boss

Demo 4 (Final Demo?)

  • Bugfix:  Option saving actually works properly now
  • added a weblink to the itch page on the title screen
  • added Credits screen
  • mouse support! (keyboard or gamepad recommended anyway)
  • new fonts!
  • new gem graphics!
  • Player HP bar changes color as it lowers, flashes and alerts at low health
  • fixed code entry to not be weird
  • finally fixed gem wrapping to be smooth
  • added ability to have different background/music per stage
  • new enemy attack: Color Fade
  • Bonus Numbers show up when matches of 4 or 5 are made
  •  gave Tango a new outfit
  • swapped the first character to be Amy instead of Helena (plot reasons, if plot happens)
  • changed grey bar bonus to deal 1 damage to enemy instead of stunning, hopefully speeding up combat

Demo 3

  • Bugfix: Next Move wasn't displaying correctly
  • Moved Thought Bubble and timer to more central location
  • Added shader to full power bars
  • sparkles that hit full bars turn grey and fall to bottom grey bar
  • full grey bar will stun the enemy briefly (5 seconds added to move)
  • temporary CGs added to Tango

Demo 2

  • Added WASD/Enter to control scheme
  • Rainbow Gems no longer are affected by explosions
  • Enemy AI now has weighted chances for moves
  • Chance of Skull/Bomb/Heart gems reduced

Future Plans

So I waffled around on releasing this for a while, I hadn't worked on it in a good bit and had been messing with other projects.  I have decided to release it as-is, it IS a complete game, it just lacks polish.

If the game gets a good response from the release and it seems like it would be viable to do so, I would love to hire an artist to go over/remake the AI assets!

Then I would most likely release on Steam as an Enhanced Version, with idle animations, polish, consistency, the works!  I'm crossing my fingers, cause I do like what I accomplished with this game.

A fun little game even for someone who is not a puzzler like myself. Well done!

Fun demo, can be difficult but once I read the instructions that certainly helped. Wish I had the focus to put something like this together.

Difficult but addictive, I like it!

hey question do you think you could explain how you made the game like i know you used deepseek but what engine did you use

(+1)

I made it in Game Maker Studio, so I asked Deepseek for GML code.
